Job Title: Machine Operator B

Duties and Responsibilities

Automated Assembly Process

  • Process departmental "First Article" approval
  • Create departmental work instructions in detail
  • Hand place difficult components into solder paste as required (SMT)
  • Perform minor program changes as required by job instructions only as instructed
  • Perform minor equipment adjustment, repairs and periodic and monthly maintenance as directed
  • Proficient in profiling the CC infrared drying oven
  • Q.A. Proficient with black light and touch-up
  • Proficient at running characterizations to determine machine performance

    • Equipment (Operate a minimum of 3 with proficiency required)

  • SMT (solder paste printer, P/P Machines, Reflow Oven)
  • Dip and Axial
  • AOI
  • X-Ray
  • Asymtek 740 and 940
  • Potting  (includes set-up, run and calibrate)
  • Operate Infrared drying oven by setting required parameters

    • General

  • Work well with fellow assembly employees
  • Follow instructions provided by supervisor
  • Perform other work as assigned
  • Meets or exceeds the required level of quality and quantity results on a consistent basis

    • Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of six (6) months in Machine Operator C position or equivalent experience from previous work background which would qualify under duties and responsiblities
  • Successfully complete the IPC Standards Classroom Training
  • Successfully Completed Component Recognition classroom study

    Job Responsibilities:

    Surface Mount Technology Corporation is seeking an experienced Process/Equipment Technician adept at the skills necessary to lead the continuous improvement process as related to machine performance and development efforts in preventative maintenance of high-technology equipment and downtime improvement efforts. Prior work experience with contract circuit board manufacturing is essential. Qualified applicant will support the production group and help identify areas for improvement – the goal being to reduce set-up and process time as well as improve overall quality. As the Process/Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for:

    • Provide advanced programming to operate production equipment.
    • Provide scheduled and unscheduled repairs and maintenance of production equipment.
    • Support production, process engineering and quality to assure product specification.
    • Support new technology/equipment implementation.
    • Lead thermo profile development.
    • Define content of and write instructions/procedures for equipment preventative maintenance as required.
    • Lead technical support for operators.

    The Process/Equipment Technician will help maintain ISO 9001 certification by being knowledgeable of and following appropriate documents in the Quality Manual as well as other procedures.

    Job Requirements:

    A.A.S. Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred with a minimum of 3 to 5 years work experience within an electronics-manufacturing environment. Preference for CM experience. Exposure to surface mount and solder technology is a must. Familiarity with RoHS compliance. Other responsibilities will include performing root cause analysis of production failures and process escapes. Maintain, upgrade, and enhance equipment and programs to improve efficiency and quality. Participate in cost reduction programs in manufacturing, and continuous improvement programs in quality. Strong computer skills are essential.

    Job Title: Test Technician

    Job Requirements:

    The optimal candidate must have the following qualifications and abilities:

    • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology (or equivalent).
    • 2-3 years experience testing and troubleshooting digital and analog circuit boards to the component level.
    • Ability to use test equipment including: multi-meters, oscilloscopes, frequency counters, function generators, various programming devices, power supplies and other equipment as required.
    • Ability to work independently on root cause resolution.
    • Ability to effectively communicate issues to supervisors and develop solutions.
    • Ability to write detailed test procedures and other documentation as required.
    • Ability to read electrical schematics.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and repair test fixtures.
    • Ability to follow direction and facilitate on-time delivery
    • Excellent attendance record
    • Ability to follow quality procedures

    Other:

    • ICT experience is a plus
