The following are examples of successful developments:

Telecommunications Gateway
This was a complete concept to production effort. SMT developed the embedded hardware and firmware for the telecommunication platform used in large call centers.

Currency Counter
This microcontroller-based coin counter has a wide range of features and adaptability, produced on a flexible PCB to eliminate wire harnesses and connectors. SMT provided a third party analysis consisting of a comprehensive design review, DFM review, and worst case analysis.

Advance Welding Platform
SMT took a concept and a crude, undocumented prototype from Germany and developed it into a fully functional, refined, production-ready design. This advanced welding system is capable of producing a spatter-free, wire-fed weld using a sophisticated proprietary algorithm.

High End Biking Computer
SMT designed the CPU electronics for the PowerTap system. The system computes rider power in watts, as opposed to more conventional biking computers that read only speed and cadence. The SMT Engineering design provides a large feature set along with great flexibility, low cost, and high reliability.

Refrigeration Control
SMT Engineering designed a high-end residential refrigeration control with a custom LCD and a multitude of advanced features. SMT began with development of low-level product and component specifications, and proceeded to the entire design for the 2-board platform along with support software.

High Force Hydraulic Pump
An industrial hydraulic pump control based on a 2-board set, used for a variety of high-force applications ranging from heavy lifting to torque wrenches. SMT created a microcontroller based platform for a customer that had previously used only electromechanical devices.

Network and Media Controller
SMT contributed all aspects of the electronic hardware and firmware for this integrated network controller. It was combined with a multimedia controller for wireless digital and wired analog audio, as well as lighting control.
