Remanufacturing is the process of determing reasons for original failure mode.  Once the failure is determined the product is disassembled, then re-assembled with new, repaired, or cleaned original parts.  This re-assembled product is then able to be placed back into distribution operating like brand new.
 
In addition to being economically viable, this is an environmentally friendly process that keeps electronics and other components out of landfills.
